Collect footage from a client

The client sends raw footage through a link, with no account, and you approve what you keep.

Updated

For editors and agencies: instead of a shared Drive folder, the client sends raw footage through a link, with no account, and nothing is kept until you approve it.

💡 Each step names the button or setting exactly as it appears on screen. Every video setting is behind the gear icon on the video's card; every share link setting is in the Share tab, under Create Share Link (or ⋮, then Edit on a link).
1
In the sidebar, click Upload requests
2
Click New upload link
3
Under What are you collecting?, pick Original files for raw camera files (they are stored exactly as sent, including MXF, MTS, BRAW and R3D), Videos to watch for clips you will share, or Both
4
Write a Title and Instructions (for example, which shots you need), choose a folder in Save received videos to, and leave Review everything before accepting it on. Click Create link
5
On the link, click , then Invite people. Turn on Only people I invite can upload, and Remind people who haven't sent anything if they tend to forget
6
You get an email when they have finished sending. Under Received videos, click Approve, or the eye icon (Review) to go through a batch with the keyboard
